Our Social Work - RIGHTEOUS SONS

We promote change and social development, strengthening the individual through social cohesion. Focused on improving the conditions of those individuals who need it, we develop healthy human bonds to promote changes that originate full well-being in the people who require it. According to our different services, we are dedicated to the support, protection and care of all those people who are in a situation of vulnerability or social exclusion. We transform people through our services, our team is trained to offer psychological common emotional and spiritual support to face new challenges and prevent any conflict situation; We coordinate social projects that promote efficient social skills.

Righteous Garden Works

Righteous Garden Works department will entail teaching youth, adults, returning citizens, anyone who is willing to learn about growing food and building their own custom planters, with water irrigation system, for creating smaller gardens at home. This department is led by Stacey Walker.

For younger adults or children, gardening helps with pre-reading skills, and developing children’s vocabulary. It also promotes physical activity from turning compost, digging, and taking: burns calories, improves behavior and grow kids

Growing your own fruits and vegetables provides numerous health benefits, including improved access to food, improved nutrition, increased physical activity and improved mental health. It also promotes social health and community cohesion.

RIGHTEOUS SONS in partnership with a local farm named McElroy Farms, located in Hillsdale, MI. Their farm is eco regenerative, meaning that cattle are 100% grass fed and the beef is grass finished, which means that cattle are never fed grain of any kind. Freshly cut meat can be purchased on site and they deliver as well.

Taking our youth to visit a farm will teach them about agriculture, animals and so much more. This will also provide an opportunity to teach them about other ways of life in different parts, of the city, state, country & even world.

Righteous Innovative Development Institute

RIGHTEOUS SONS, in partnership with a local skilled trade school, is offering a unique program that is accredited and endorsed by the U.S. Department of Labor, teaching skilled trades. Apprentices’ will also receive in the field, paid hands on training.

YouthBuild provides an integrated individualized GED instruction with hands on construction training, which is a resume builder, and increases employability. The program also teaches soft skills such as; critical thinking, problem solving, hygiene, work ethics, career management, professional attitude and knowing, presenting, and maintaining your brand, the basics of public speaking, working as a team and leadership skills.

When you become an Apprentice, you will be paired with a Life Coach, through our Navigation Department. The Life Coach will guide you through your journey and offer assistance with life issues that may get thrown your way.

Apprentice will make a tangible and positive impact in our community by building affordable housing for residents in need. The experience builds their confidence and sense of commitment to the community.
