Mission Statement
Revitalizing the city one neighborhood at a time, by bringing back thriving communities, while using the people that live in it. Making the American Dream of owning a home a reality for everyone.
Guardian Investments was created so that everyone would be provided an opportunity to own a home, beautify the community, and create a workforce with members of that community. We know that there is plenty of vacant property in the city of Detroit, most have become an eyesore and bring the property value down of neighboring houses in the area. Our plan is to purchase some of those vacant properties, renovate them, and accept a donation to secure ownership of the newly renovated property.
We want to engage the community in our efforts by encouraging parties that are interested, to enroll in Apprenticeship Institute, where they can learn a skilled trade and be a part of the change that is happening in their community. Imagine the pride one would have; walking past a house that they helped to build. Restoring the pride in people can trickle down to how they feel about what is happening to and in their community.
We won’t just target adults; we want to help the youth too. We start recruiting as early as age 14, so that we can keep our kids busy by giving them something constructive and positive to do.
We hope that our efforts decrease crime in the neighborhoods that we intend to service. Most crime is committed because there is a need for capital gain, we want to let community members know that crime isn’t the only way to obtain financial freedom.
Financial Literacy
RIGHTEOUS SONS Financial Literacy Departments goal is to teach the knowledge and application of various financial skills. This includes creating a budget, understanding how credit works and saving for retirement. These skills also include the ability to effectively locate, evaluate, and use information, resources and services to make an informed decisions about financial obligations, budgeting, credit, debt, and planning for the future. Our program will also teach about investments, assist in opening a bank account and prepare them for homeownership.
